Acoustic Sets at the Southern Maltings
After our successful first acoustic evening at the Southern Maltings, the next of our ‘Acoustic Sets’ nights brings you four performances by musicians from the acoustic, folk, roots and blues circuit.
Our main guests on our March evening are Kelly and Woolley, with support from Sue Bembridge, Tangerine Hipster and Test the Waters.
Tickets will be available on the door at the bargain price of £5.00.
Doors open at 7.30pm with music starting promptly at 8.00pm
‘Acoustic Sets’ is NOT an open mic event. Support slots are booked in advance by prior agreement only.
Kelly and Woolley
This guitar and fiddle duo from Bury St Edmunds, sing songs and play tunes from a wide variety of styles, but focus on cajun, folk, bluegrass and country. They have been performing together for five years, have released two albums and perform regularly across the region.
Test The Waters
A Four piece acoustic covers band adding their own twist to vintage and contemporary tunes that span the decades, with blues and folk influenced arrangements, swapping conventional for eclectic.
Tangerine Hipsters are a new duo of experienced musicians featuring Stef on vocals and Paul on acoustic guitar, ukulele and vocals. Their emphasis is on fun and entertainment featuring some timeless pop, rock and folk classics from the past. The duo feature well known songs as well as forgotten gems.
Sue sings Sandy Denny
Sue Bembridge from Sedbuskers will be performing one of her Sandy Denny tribute sets accompanied by Ian on guitar.
